Poetry-- From a First Draft, To a Polished Piece

After having been workshopped  in class on my first 10 poems, my thoughts have been constantly centered on the revision process.  The difficulty lies in the firm distinction between what was said in class about the poetry in class, the line-edits from my peers, and the "papers" on the poetry.

Maybe this is just the case with my poetry, but not one person agreed on anything.  Especially in the line-edits.  People's very favorite lines would be crossed or etched out in another person's comments.  Not one person agreed on what was their favorite poem.  The discrepancies as shown in the workshopping process are making it near impossible to edit with any sort of calculated purpose.

For now, at least until my second workshopping experience, I will edit by feel.
